R. Pepin & Sons was started by Rodolphe Pepin in the 1940's and became a critical part of the construction and development of the fast-growing Sanford/Springvale area. [Shown at left is Rodolphe's son, Sylvio, standing beside the company's first truck.] In less than 10 years, the company had grown to a fleet of four trucks.
Today, David J. Pepin and his sons, along with a dedicated team of over 
40 employees, form the backbone of R. Pepin & Sons, Inc. The business now has over twenty-five trucks on the road, serving not only Sanford and its surrounding towns, but also most of New Hampshire and into Massachusetts as well. This is made possible by the addition of a second read-mix plant in Berwick, Maine, in 2006. [Please note that at this time this second location does not feature a retail store; it serves as a distribution base only.]
In the last 20 years R. Pepin has worked hard to expand and diversify. Pepin Precast, a division of R. Pepin, now offers a large supply of precast concrete products across Maine New Hampshire and Massachusetts. With a state of the art precast shop onsite in Pepin’s Sanford location Pepin Precast is able to produce a wide list of products for both residential and commercial use.
